Frequently asked questions
Do I need a visa to enter Madagascar?
Yes, most visitors need a tourist visa, available on arrival at the airport or online before departure. We recommend checking the current requirements for your nationality before you travel.
What's the local currency?
The Malagasy Ariary (MGA). It's a good idea to bring cash in euros or dollars to exchange locally, as credit cards aren't always accepted outside the main tourist areas.
Are vaccinations required?
There are no mandatory vaccinations for entry, but we recommend consulting your doctor or a travel medicine clinic to review recommended precautions (e.g. malaria) well ahead of departure.
What language is spoken?
The official languages are Malagasy and French. Our team speaks Italian, French and English, so communicating with us is easy at every stage of your trip.
What should I pack?
Light, breathable clothing, swimwear, sunscreen, insect repellent, a hat and comfortable shoes for excursions. For boat trips we also recommend a dry change of clothes.
How does booking work?
Just contact us on WhatsApp with the tour you're interested in and your travel dates: we'll get back to you with availability, details and how to confirm.
Are the tours suitable for families with children?
Many of our experiences are family-friendly, but some excursions require a minimum level of physical fitness. Contact us with your children's ages and we'll recommend the tours that suit you best.
